Yacht Surveying
About
The passion for the Sea and becoming a qualified Yacht Surveyor nearly 20 years ago was the starting point for the Company. Our inquisitive nature and eye for detail meant that when this was coupled with our knowledge of yachts and engineering we could provide guidance to clients and promote safety so that their yachts could be used with confidence on the water.
Tonnage
As a Member of the Institute of International Marine Surveyors we are authorised to conduct tonnage measurements on Yachts under 24m for those wishing to Register their yachts with a member of the Red Ensign Group. (UK, Channel Islands, BVI, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar) & Marshall Islands.
Pre Purchase
Prior to purchasing a yacht it is advise and potentially mandated by a creditor or insurance company to have a pre-purchase survey. Very similar to buying a house it gives the buying the security that a Surveyor has inspected the Yacht and provided their opinion on its condition and approximate value.
Insurance Survey
Having an accident or having your yacht damaged is something nobody wants, therefore to ensure that your asset can be properly repaired the damage needs to be confirmed and presented to the Insurers. Our surveyors remain objective and present the facts so that all parties are treated fairly and your yacht is repaired and operational as soon as possible.
Condition Survey
Periodically insurers or interested parties may wish to confirm the condition of an asset. They will therefore request a condition survey to ensure that the yacht remains safe and any problems are known.
New Build Pre-Delivery
With the production and purchase of yachts being a Global Industry, inevitably the purchaser of a new build yacht may not be able to, or have the objective knowledge to ensure that the yacht being delivered is as expected.
Our specialist knowledge and experience means that we can be the Clients representative during the delivery phase and highlight and ensure they potential shortfalls are rectified before they may dull the experience and joy that any new yacht should bring.
